Prevention policy

Share:

The company management, aware that its activities may lead to health and safety risks for workers and third persons who may be present in the facilities, has decided to prepare and integrate a workplace risk-management system, obeying the following principles:

  • The health and safety of the workers contributes to our business activities by preserving and developing the physical and human resources available and reducing losses and legal liabilities arising from the occurrence of workplace hazards.
  • Our prevention activity is intended to prevent risks and to assess those which cannot be eliminated.
  • The definition of the preventive measures will be made so as to act on the origin of the risks and, where appropriate, prioritise collective over individual safety and consider any additional risks that this may incur and only adopt them when the scale of these risks are far lower than those that we are studying and there is no safer alternative.
  • The choice of work and production equipment and methods shall be made with the aim of reducing the amount of monotonous and repetitive work and to reduce the effects of this on the health of the workers.
  • The prevention plan will prefer a coherent grouping that includes technical aspects, work organisation, working conditions, social relations and the influence of environmental factors at work.
  • Only workers who are appropriately trained shall have access to the area where there is a serious and specific risk.
  • Before assigning a task to an employee, their professional capacity in health and safety to do the job must be considered-
  • When assessing the risk of processes, the consequences of any possible distractions or imprudent, but not reckless, acts that the workers may commit while doing the work must be considered.
  • Full compliance of the regulations for application with the best safety standards that are technically feasible must be ensured and assessed in each case,
  • Workers have the right to participate actively in matters related with the prevention of workplace risks, so they must have access to the mechanisms for representation established in Chapter V of the Law of Workplace Risk Prevention.

These principles shall be explained to the whole organisation and serve as a guide to set the goals agreed annually for continuous improvement, to ensure that company policy is being applied through the work and collaboration of all the workers and managers and the support of the directors of the company.
